Default Putting a 1st Gen B16A in a CRX

Hey guys
Well I'm in search of a new car right now.
I also have a 1st Gen B16A sitting in the garage. Head and block.

I was wondering what does it all take to swap one into a CRX.
I saw one for sell at a local car lot. There asking like 3,000 though.

I'm just trying to keep my options open. So is it hard, and what do I all need.
Thanks.

Oh and also what is swappable onto a CRX as far as parts and seats and things like that?

well i bought my car for 600 but it was not running till i put the b16a1 in. you will need a hoist and lots of wrenches. some soldering would be good, and patience is good. good luck.

You can do an archive search to find this information, but its not hard to list the stuff you need.

- Custom fabricated mounts (i.e. hasport, place racing)
- Modified Linkage (hasport again has these pre-fab'd if you want quality, or get them re-welded at a shop to the right length)
- Axles (90-93 integra should do, can't remember)
- Abviously the proper ecu and tranny (s1, y21)
- You also need to do the wiring vtec wiring (bare minimums are 3 wires, one for the vtec solenoid itself to the ecu(pin a8), and 2 wires for the vtec pressure switch(one ground the other to the ecu (pin b5)). you can do the knock sensors and o2 sensors, but if you are going to chip it eventually, these are turned off anyway.

And thats about it. Tools you will need:

- Dental tools for the wiring and re-pinning
- your basic metric box wrenches and sockets, along with a big enough socket and cheater bar to pull off the hub nut for the outer axle connections
- a floor jack and jack stands (gotta have these or else you aren't going to get far in the swap)
- a cherry picker to pull/install the engines if you don't have access to a lift, which isn't necessary, but a nice thing if you have access to one
- splash pans (ahhh everyone forgets these for when your draining the oil out of the engine when removing it if you choose to, and the draining the radiator)
- rubber gloves are nice and lots of paper towels
- patience is a necessity too

Good luck
