Engine Dies at startup unless I hold the gas
Hi,
I just installed a new cap and rotor for my distributor but now the engine will not stay on. It cranks and starts up weakly then dies unless I hold the gas.
Any ideas? Thanks

Could it be the Ignition Control Module (ICM)? I swapped it out on a different dizzy that was previously broken and then it didn't work so I swapped it back.
If the wires were in the wrong order and it failed to start - could the timing or valve clearances be off? It fires right up but I have to hold the gas...
