Need Help with H22A engine
Dear All,
I am new to this Forum so i would appreciate any help that is available as i have a huge problem with my Honda
I currently have a 97 Honda prelude type s that was made for japan. i love my car but here is where the problem lies.
I live on a small island where getting Honda parts isn't very easy and it so happened that my brother managed to blow my engine blocks from under.
Now replacing the engine looks virtually impossible for me.
The only engines i can find are the blue top and black top engines here for the same model.
Can any one let me know if it would be possible to switch my engine to a blue top? would there be a lot of things that need to be changed?
Can i change the entire engine and put a more powerful one? if yes what would be ideal to replace my current blown:-( engine with?
Any help from you experts out there will be much appreciated.

If you have a true TypeS, then there is no upgrade (staying within the H line) as your H22a is the most powerful there is. Your best bet would be to try and repair the block (not sure what the problem is), or replace the block with another TypeS block.
It's possible to swap other engines in, but you're looking at a noobie's headache if you don't get another ATTS motor.
