You don't need the dimmer switch. As they say, set it and forget it. Just unplug it and take it out. Or, take the switch itself out of the three switch holder and push it back into the dash (behind the pocket).

lol...you cant take your dimmer switch out Ron Popeil...so dont "set it and forget it"...your lights on your cluster wont work if you dont have the dimmer switch plugged in. Just as your blinkers wont work unless you have your hazard/4-way switch plugged in. I have the JDM tray and i put my dimmer switch in one of the empty slots next to where the sunroof swtich goes....i think thats what goes in there...

Just ziptie it to the back somewhere so it won't be in your way but you can still get to it if you need to.

You can remove the actual switch from the three compartment "housing" and you can just keep the dimmer switch tucked away inside the dash to make room for the pocket.

I don't mess with how bright my dash lighting is, so I just keep it at it's highest setting and just left it inside the dash so that it's still intact. Unplugging it is not an option or you won't have any kind of dashboard illumination.

Yep either set it to your preferred brightness then stuff it back behind the switches in the dash and forget about it, or remove it and jumper the RED to the BLK to set it on full brightness and forget about it.

I chose to stuff it behind the switches. My headlight washer switch now sits where the dimmer switch was:

They don't have one at all.

oh, I see. My buddy's EK was stuck at full brightness and he didn't have the dimmer switch at all; the previous owner probably did the jumper technique that DeSchlong mentioned. I figured he had just removed it entirely.

This is useful info because I just picked up a coin pocket myself, now I know
