Default help with gc/koni

so im ready to purchase another setup. it's going to be put into a 91 civic si . i want to be able to dump my car as a DD and still be able to raise it and bring it out for some auto-x.

with that being said, i was thinking of gc/koni setup like everyone adores. i know about getting ot choose ur own spring rates. so how does that work? any website i buy the setup from can adjust to my spring rates? and since i will be taking this car to the track once in a while, what spring rate should i be looking at?

what other options do i have besides gc/koni? something below $900 please. haha thanks

For spring rates I like my 8k f 6k r but if I were to track the car more I would go with 10k f 8k r. As for your alternative the only ones I would suggest cost more than $900.

THMotorsports is the vendor I got mine through. I have 460f 330r with GC tophats. It's not dumped but rides and handles awesome.

if you are lookin at taking your car to the track i would go ahead and take your car as is and get a good feel for it with decent tires on there..
then change out your suspension and see how much better it performs..

but if you are looking to track your car i'd go with a stiffer rear spring rate than the front, it will help rotate the car and lose some understeer

That automatically mandates a high front spring rate. Since GCs are in lb/in i would recommend getting a minimum of 450 lb/in for the front.

With GCs you can choose between getting OTS GCs which come with VERY soft spring certainly not for someone who wants to slam. Or your other option is to get a custom spring rate where you can choose whatever spring rate you want.

function sucks. I went with Koni/GC with 400F 500R. Get the top hats if you want to "dump" your car, it will give the shock a little more room to travel without bottoming out

If you were looking @ non rebound adjust then I would take a look at PIC apex's.

*edit* this is BRAND NEW FF's Type 2's https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...hlight=leaking and why I would most likely never run this set up, unless I got it for really cheap.
