Default need exhaust and header opinions(ls/vtech)

i just got a ls/vtech hatch that has a stock header and no muffler seriously lame. the motor is as follows:
ls bottom end
gsr head
ls crank
itr cams
b16 pistons
gsr transmission
typr r ecu(chipped, street tuned)
stock intake manifold

i am purchasing a skunk2 intake manifold, but need advice on what kind of header and cat back to get. for exhaust i'm thinking apexi ws2($417.00 shipped) but don't really know if that will maximize my motors potential. and for a header im completely open to suggestions. i just want this car to make good power all around, but the more torque the better. let me know what you think would be my best options. thanks in advance.

hmm decisions...i dunno how much faster you can make that phone.

on a more related note, i believe the ws2 is somewhat restrictive. get a kteller weld up if you have the skills or a kteller full up, i would run a 3 inch, but you will hear everyone else come in here and say thats too big.

the new skunk2 header is nice, otherwise hytech, smsp, etc.

whats your price limit, i think thats going to be the biggest factor in finding a header for your car, id say sence you have a mild build a toda replica for low end grunt or narrow header, there about the same price, or see if you can get a bisimoto prototype for like 500-600, Smsp custom header if you got $, at least a header with a 2.5 outlet. Skunk2 im not sure if they are still having a garge sale but i got a email befor that they were so you may be able to get stuff for cheaper then normal

the local muffler shop quoted me $1100.00 for a full header back exhaust. mandrial(sp) bent 2.5 inch pipe the whole way. high flow cat. magna flow muffler.

i think this is insane! the ws2 is only $400.00 and i thought i'd be good. but if it's gunna restrict my motor than i don't want it. what would anyone suggest thats maybe somewhere inbetween these two mufflers? thanks for the input.

kteller sells both weld up and complete exhausts.

**** kteller. they are a bunch of idiots. alls they do is buy it from VRS and mark up the price. VRS is the way to go. EXACT same thing as Kteller for less money. Run a 30" cherry bomb to a magnaflow muffler and youll make good power and be pretty damn quiet

Will be loud as sh#t and only 60 mm piping.

Like mentioned I'd go with a 3 inch kit from KTeller or VRS. Vibrant mufflers look stock (flat black) and seem to flow well also.

3" is way to big. it's not even something im willing to consider. i have watched a few vids on you tube and with the silencer in and the spec 2 doesn't sound bad. it's 2.5 inches too which is what im looking for.

Ok. Buddy Club is 60 mm (2.36 inch) not a true 2.5 inch exhaust. Installing a silencer defeats the whole purpose (performance) of the exhaust. Then get a 2.5 inch exhaust for your application.

I would go with a custom kit like mentioned. KTeller or the VRS. A decent shop can install it for you. Almost all these aftermarket exhausts are 60mm. APEXi N1 muffler his huge. N1 mufflers are LOUD and attract a lot of attention.

what is peoples fascination with the spec2? cuz its just a resonator? I have a friend that had it and after 3500m, the baffling blew out and it sounded like ****. all that money for bent tubing and a resonator, have some common sense

well the shop quote i got for 2.5 inch piping with no muffler is 800.00 so 389.00 shipped for almost the same thing is not a bad deal.
