I am contemplating purchasing a b17a1 however I would like to know what one would sound like with hot cams preferably 413s.

It will sound really cool! It would sound even cooler if you put in some better cams and had it properly tuned.

So I have been a fan of Crower for their 404s for the LS. I'm assuming, by your statement, that you frown upon Crower. So, by better you mean like Buddy Club or something like that? Oh, and believe me, as soon as it's built it will be tuned... I've seen to many motors go to waste because people didn't tune them...

Crower LS cams are o.k. I have run them and tuned them on customer's cars, with moderate success. For VTEC cams, Skunk2 or Toda would be better choices.
