Icon3 New Gauge Pod Solution

Hey guys, I don't know if you have ever seen this location to house gauges, but this is a gauge pod I have made for my cousin and a bunch of other members on another forum. This location definitely gives you the sleeper look and houses the gauges perfectly. Made for the 06+ Civic Si. Let me know what you guys think.

Heres a few pics of other members showing off their gauge pod I made for the,.

It is really I nice looking gauge pod, but I don't like having to look down to read my gauges, specially at high speeds when I am pushing the motor (when I want to keep an eye on my gauges). I am currently using a modified pillar pod, but I am not real happy with that either. Hopefully, someone will fabricate one that fits up with the speedo. It is not like there is no room up there.

Regardless, really nice work, good job.

why would anyone want their gauges down so low? you have to take your eyes completely off the road for a long time to see them. at high speeds a lot can happen in the few seconds that your eyes are off the road.

definately great looking work, but as previously stated, theres a reason the speedo/tach/radio controls are mounted high on the dash.

i understand all you guys dont like the the fact of having to take your eyes off the road to look at the gauges, so heres a gauge pod setup i came up a while ago but just havent finished it. Let me know what you guys think.

i havent really looked into making a gauge pod in that location. i have a lot of requests for that spot, but excelerate just came out with that location. and i have never seen the 370z gauge pod. and whats wrong with having the location down by the shifter? yeah everyone says you have to take your eyes off the road to look at it, but you really dont. you glance at it slighty. its way more dangerous texting while driving or being on the phone while driving then glancing at the gauge pod to see your air/fuel ratio, or egt, or boost.

i just dont like it, and i dont like looking down mainly. Id rather look at the right and left of the speedo, or glance slightly to the right, on the dash, just above my navi or somethin
