EF door ?'s
Does anyone know if the doors from an '88-'89 (ones with the seat belts bolted to the pillar instead of the door) are a direct replacement, as far as fitment, for the '90-'91 (one where the seat belt is bolted to the door itself) doors. I don't use the hangers on my '90 b/c I've got 4-points and I'm getting ready to paint my car. I wanna get rid of these ugly hangers. Thanx..
Actually, it's 89-91 that have door mounted belts, only the 88's have them on the pillar. I did this and I believe that the 88's are the only ones that won't fit, they are a bit longer if I remember correctly, I may be wrong, and you may be able to use any door since it doesn't matter onthe seatbelt thing.

as for the civic, the 88 & 89 have pillar mounted seatbelts and the 90 & 91 have the door mounted seat belts.
Thanx. I just used my regular ones from the '90 with the damn door mounted hanger. Any suggestions on getting it off and stuff?
It kinda looks like what it's attached to helps guide the door when you close it. It's not a real big deal, just looks funny with the hangers there and not seatbelt attached.
