Default CRX strut rod length?

Hi,
My first post here, couldn't find the info I need in any old posts, so here goes...
My passenger front wheel sits a good inch back of where it should. I bought the car this way after it had some kind of collision to use for autocrossing and other events. I took apart the suspension and found a bent LCA. I replaced that with a known good LCA, but it didn't really help. The subframe does not appear bent. I imagine I would see paint coming off where the subframe could be bent, but there is nothing. It looks perfect. The only other thing that seems to locate the hub assembly front or back seems to be the strut rod. I hope I'm using the correct name for the part. It runs forward from the lower control arm to just underneath the radiator. It has paint markings like it was replaced with a junkyard part, I'm wondering if they got the wrong one. There is no way the hub assembly could move forward enough with this strut rod, it's too long. Anyone have any measurements on this? I don't know if the opposite side would be the same length or not so I didn't take that apart to see. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks

its also called the radius rod.

they should be equal length. its very likely it was bent during the accident too. its not really adjustable but you can shim it. make sure that front crossmember is ok too.

I had a very similar problem: I found a bent LCA, replaced that and shimmed my radius rod a bit, and it did not solve my castor issue. I then bought new front and rear cross members, it fixed the problem beautifully. If your gonna replace the rear x member, Id suggest examining your steering rack while your at it, since you gotta take it out anyways.

How do I know for sure if the front crossmember is bent? It appears fine, no bends, creases, or anything. I've taken measurements from everywhere to everywhere and it seems like the strut rod is just plain too long. I'd have to shim the thing a good inch, and I don't think that would work. I'll take the other one out and compare. Does anyone have the spec on how long it is supposed to be?

i just bought a 91 hatch and am having this exact same problem, the rod should be the exact same thing for the crx.

here is a pic, from the bolt end to the step in the rod it is exactly 19.5in, 23in overall.
i did notice that the wheel looks like it contacted the fender at one point which leads me to believe that the rod broke and was replaced. the frame and everything is mint, and the bushings are perfect. it just seams about an inch too long.
