Default Quick question about chipping a obd0 pm6

Well here's the thing before I get my engine going I need to first get me ecu chipped and tuned but I might have run into a problem. I'm not sure but from what I remember a 88 ecu can not be chipped, is that correct? If it is I need a new ecu. If not I can have my ecu shipped out and chipped by Friday, So am I S.O.L?

Yeah 88's are internal rom computers. They are more difficult to chip. I wouldn't recommend trying it, and i have done quite a lot of ecu reprogramming. http://mycomputerninja.com/~jon/www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin/view/Library/ChippingAn88-89ECU.html has more info, because it can be done, but if you arent comfortable chipping, i would not try it.
