weird noise at 3.5k, gsr.
I'm trying to diagnose a noise that I'm consistantly hearing when my integra is cold, when I hit 3500rpms it makes a whirr sound. It goes away after the car drives for a bit. I checed for loose bolts but I can't find a source. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
i dont know your exact problem, but i recommend staying under 3k rpms until the car is nearly warmed up. Engine wear is most apparent when starting a cold engine and running a cold engine hard. So to avoid this noise, keep the car under 3k rpms until it is fully warmed up.
It seem as it only makes the sound when driving, motor is 100% stock.
Sounds like a metal vibration, should I not worry about it? I drove it this morning keeping it under 3k till it warmed up and had no problems.

Sounds exactly like the sound I have in my gsr. Although mine doesn't go away, It's been doing it for 3 years and never had a problem. Everyone seems to think that its something with my heatshield, so no big deal.

sounds like the infamous gsr rattle. Here is the most probable solution.

its the "A"pipe. its the first pipe from ur exhaust manifold to ur cat converter. acura has a bulletin out on that. the bulletin says to replace the "A" pipe. not sure what the warranty is but check it out.
