purchased sls t3 topmount last year on hondatech market from sls employee, sat in my room til i purchased the bullseye s362ett turbo and today was test fiting and turbo will not fit either way u flip it or turn the compressor housing...topmount leans towards head to much..what should i do? sell and buy new one or call sls and c what they can do?

 

Call Nick at SLS and send him your manifold and turbo for refitment. Many of the manifolds available don't anticipate a larger 8" Diameter BW compressor cover unless you tell them to, or ask for adjustments.-

 

You should just call SLS. The 362 is big enough that most manifolds made before say last year or two may not have been intended for the size of a 362. Im sure if you call them they could work something out.

 

Id give him a call or a pm on here is sn is PSI2HI. He should get you all taken care of.

 

ok thanks, i do remember calling them about month ago asking if manifold would support the s362 and they said it would and they warranty any cracking but they never mentioned the s362 would not fit....so....il call them tomarrow, i dont mind shipping the mani back but dont want hassel packing and shipping my turbo to them,..they should have one or equivlent size to mock up and redo mani...

 

Our current topmount does fit w/o any issues. We changed the design layout a year or more ago to accomodate fitment w/ the vast of variety of turbo applications available these days. So if you did call recently then you would have been told that they would fit as the current model does (appears you have an old model). Give me a call or shoot me an e-mail and we can get something lined up and taken care of.

Here's an S366 with the AFI manifold. Again. Instead of JUST asking about if it will fit, ask if they utilize Borg-Warner turbochargers themselves. It still may be necessary to send in your compressor cover or even turbo to ensure fitment.

 

do you know what A/r that s366 is?

 

The problem is the Borg Warner stuff has changed so much over the past year or so that a lot of old manifold applications wont work anymore thus we have tried to adapt the best we can to ensure fitment of all turbos. I've had some turbine housings fluctuate a half inch in placement location. Back when that old style topmount was designed the BW stuff was very early in and using only S200 covers which fit fine, but since then they've made probably 4 changes.

 

get a smaller turbo lol

 

i'm having the same problem with neukin topmount. Except my gt30 is almost touching the runner. I cant even run a gt35 on mines because the housing is bigger. And contacting them is impossible.

 

The compressor cover is over 8" in diameter. Technically .72A/R. Slightly larger than an S cover from Garrett, and more "On center"

Honestly it looks as if I could fit an even larger turbo.

 

update! called guys at SLS,which were totally cool, i shipped my mani to them, and within 2 weeks i recieved a whole brand new topmount and they also relocated dump port like i asked, no questions asked and i didnt pay anything...all i can say is WOW! goooodd customer service!...im going put everthing together in few weeks and repost few pics too..
