Default turbo b7 mini me

hi, i have a 1990 hatch with a b7/y8 mini me. i'm planning on trying p2e y7 pistons in it so i can get the compression down. i only plan on 200 -220 hp. has anyone done this? i used the calculator and it said with my head being milled, that my compression would be 8.93:1

Your stock b7 will handle 200-220 whp with a good tune. Lowering the compression isn't going to help much if you aren't going to run forged internals. Stock d15b7 compression is 9.2:1 so you are at about target range for a good starting static compression. There are people running stock z6's in upwards of 300 hp on stock buttom end.

All in all, unless the motor is already apart I wouldn't worry about putting y7 pistons in the car IMO.
