Default To paint, or not to Paint??

I am thinking about painting my valve cover but not sure what kind of paint to use? my buddy use brake high temp paint and it does really look that good. Its a stock D15z1 motor but want to make it look a lil better. So what kind of spray paint should i use?

again any high temp paint will get the job done.
i use duplicolor plaint on mine.

i use engine primer and regular paint on my valve cover and it holds up great

yea i was reading some of the other posts and when my buddy did his valve cover he used high temp paint and like 3-4 mouths later it looked bad and was all rinkeled up. i just want to paint it ones and to do it the right way and have it last. I just wanted to get some different opinions befour i painted it?

And when i bought the car off my buddy the header was painted with high temp paint and it all burned off now and dont look to good.

i have used automotive paint from house of kolor on a valve cover and it looked great and held up!

i had a can of paint mixed so i can paint the mirrors on my crx and i did the valve cover with the same paint and it help up perfect.

i used duplicolor on mine. its a candy purple, self-etching primer, silver base, purple topcoat, wet sanded the top coat, then cleared, let it dry for about 12 hrs. bada bing, bada boom. hasnt flaked chipped or peeled yet and its been on the car for about 2 yrs. Duplicolor FTMFW

you dont even need high temp paint, i have flat red from walmart on mine, and its been there for like 6 months.

yea why not paint it, what is 20 dollars for paint and it will look a lil better. This is just by beater car and i got some time so yea ill spend my money.

and i now its not a fast car but i bought it cause it was cheap and good on gas and being a d series dont really matter to me, just wanted to clean it up a lil.

make sure you use primer and most spray paints should hold up after that

Well i did this one with Hi -temp paint from dupli, with hi temp primer and it came out pretty good.
