Dome Light Dimmer
hey fellas here's a little issue i have ... ok so my dome light used to dim out and then completely turn off after shutting my doors ... not to long ago i had my dumbass friend "try" to put a LED bulb ... unfortunately it wasn't a plug and play bulb ... i should have done it myself ... but anyway somehow he blew the fuse for the dome light/courtesy lights/ and so-on ... i replaced it but now when i have the dome light set to turn off and on as the door is opened and closed ... not only does it not dim out ... but it stays on full time ... unless i set it to OFF ... i seen a dimmer relay under the hood but i don't have a meter to check if its still ok ... could that be it or is that a relay for something else? any ideas? ... thanks
if the bulb blew the fuse maybe it messed up something in the sensor that says the door is closed? but then your door open beeper would go off.. but it could be that relay too, there's probably a way to make a test light to check it without using a meter
well when i close my doors my factory alarm works ... it doesn't go off ... so i don't think it's anything with my door ... it shouldn't be anything having to do with the ground he didn't touch the factory wiring
... i'm going to see if i can somehow test the relay ... i think my brother has a volt meter or w/e

Relays you test by checking continuity from one point of contact to the other with it having power and ground hooked up. I'm not sure what whats need power to test it maybe some one else will chime in. Or take it to the dealership they should for free or cheap.
