why is there ticking noises from inside the spark plugs?
just put in a new longblock b18b1 and i hear ticking noise from the spark plug hole nearest to the distributor and very slight ticking from the furthest to the right of the distributor. why is it doing that? its louder if i press in a little on the spark plug wires. also when i would touch the spark plugs to the distributor i would get shock also. so what are the causes for this? the thing is the car runs perfect tho. just want to know what is wrong before something major comes up

remove the distributor cap and check to see if there is powder inside the housing. if so this could be why it is ticking and it also means the dizzy's bearing is starting to go.
could also be loose valves, check them
could also be loose valves, check them
Do a tune up. Change your dizzy cap, rotor in side the cap. and plugs. Maybe wires also. If its still there, I agree with TOO MUCH TORQUE, ticking valves.
