What is the best way to tighten up suspension on Dc2?
My steering feels a little loose and i would also like to tighten up my suspension a little bit. Just bought some new coilovers and kyb gr-2 shock/struts off ebay, and a front strut bar. What else would help out? I'm also replacing my front tie rods.
I have a 94 rs auto, stock suspension
Help would be appreciated Thanks.

A first step would be to install the coilovers/shocks/strut bar.
There's so many things you can do to stiffen your chassis up.
lower tie bars, rear strut, b/c pillar bar, asr subframe brace........ idk.
There's an infinite amount of possibilities!
Well, not really. But ya get the gist.

Which shows the most improvement for the buck? Besides struts, front strut bar, coilovers, and new tie rods. All of which i've already purchased.
Well, coilovers are definitely the most BANG.
Also heard asr braces are super effective.
Just like squirtle using his water gun attack on geodude.
pretty darn pricey thoughhhh.

I don't see how getting new suspension parts will make your steering tighter. Are you talking about handling? Or is it the way you are steering the wheel? If it is steering the wheels, you could remove ps (power steering). kyb gr-2 shock/struts aren't really that great as they kind of resemble stock replacements but since you are driving a 94 teg that's an auto, it's a good choice and good for the money. What coilovers did you buy? Don't tell me it's ebay coilovers... if it is... you're gonna be bouncing xD
Kinda like asians..... they aren't ALL smart.

I'm asian btw. lol
And I ride function and form coilovers, so I'm not trying to glorify anything.
You can't really stereotype ebay coils really.... I mean, yeah. They're cheap most likely... but, doesn't necessarily mean THEY ALL suck. THERE ARE different brands. yenno!?

If you can find millions of them on ebay for cheap, they're probably low quality xD
Honestly, the quality on the ebay coilovers does suck. A buddy of mine bought a set and now he regrets it but anyhow, they do work and make your car appear quite nice since you can really drop/slam your ride and for cheap :D
As for ride quality, I don't recommend it. But no need to fully take my word for it, let the OP try it out for themself.

They sell these on ebay, which can make them ebay coilovers:

Does that mean they SUCK?
How about we agree to this.

hahaha xD
Tein is a name brand and highly expensive and popular, not a generic brand like the "ebay brand" we were discussing.
"Don't buy cheap crap!" < yes an agreement *hi 5*
But if you're on a budget, it's there for a reason. Again, I highly don't recommend ebay brand coilovers.

i seriously hate this forum reference to the non existant "ebay brand" how about using words like generic or china junkovers ? at least that's somewhat descriptive. personally, i would never buy gr2's and the reason why is the skunk sport shock and koni srt shock. both are $300 a set shipped. for $180 you could buy tein, h&r or ebiach sportline lowering springs which would work great with the before mentioned shocks. for the extra $200 or so over the chinaovers and gr2s you would have a nice setup
Based off of your suggestions i think i'll get the best of both worlds price/quality.
I'll get the KYB Gr-2
And then some "Higher" quality springs. I have some 16" Dr16 gunmetal, swrapped in hankook hr2 205/40/16. So i have about a a 2-3 inch gap.. I was thinking of dopping it 1.5".
Any cheaper yet higher quality lowering springs suggestions?
Height suggestions or pics for examples?
As for wanting my suspension stiffer...at higher speeds my steering wheel seems to jump and just feels loose. I can't stand it.. So i would like my steering stiffer...to reduce that or fix w/e the hell it is.
THANKS!!!!!!!

Check your bushings, and tie rod ends. For that matter, just thuroughly inspect the whole suspension just at a routine maintainance standpoint. Getting rid of power steering helps, but at low speeds like parallel parking it's a PITA.
i'll definetly keep the power steering. As for tie rod ends, it costs a shitload to hae them installed, so i might wait on that. Since i don't have the tools or area to do it myself. I have 2 brand new front outer tie rods so i will do it, just not for a week or so.
Offtopic, but just changed my thermostat....and mannnnnn thats a bitch. But i accomplished it with the right tools after 2 hours. ugh i'm typing this with greasy and coolant covered hands haha .... Good times..
Thanks everyone i should be ordering those coilover in the next week so i'll keep everyone updated. Still trying to decide on the lowering springs i should get..

You should sell your auto then put on the suspension mods.
Anyway, I read somewhere gr2s are like 10-15% stiffer then stock struts if that helps.

Yes really check your ball joints, this is what happened to mine about three weeks ago while driving...

I think you need new control arms when you lower your car so the tires don't camber btw.

get a quality fully adjustable coilover set up and 22mm rear swaybar with subframe brace. also check if your trailing arm bushings are toasted, and replace if necessary.
The best ride set up: koni yellows with custom springs from Ground Controls custom for Koni's specifically and rear ITR sway bar and other components mentioned. Good luck. Oh and also get a clean set of new tires!
Yeah i just intalled a nice front strut bar today, buying a combo set from tokico which includes Tokico Blues, and some Tokico HP lowering springs that give me 1.3" drop all the way around...which is exactly what i'm looking for for $399.99 w/ free shipping.
I hve BRAND new hr-2 hankook tires on some new drag dr-16's, so the tire aspect will b e fine.
When i took my car to firestone for a alignment they suggested ajustable ball joints but they are like $200 each...so i was like ...ummmmmmm NO.
Anyways my next purchases will be the Tokico Blues w/ Lowering Springs, new front control arms and maybe some rear suspension stuff.
Anyone contest? lol

Next, focus on a set of good tires. Tires are the most important part of the suspension, get the best set for your usage.
Then I would get a nice set of shocks. Either Bilstein or Koni as they have adjustable perches to let you lower the car on stock springs. It's not much, about 1/2" or so. They also come with good warranties, and serviceability in the US.
That's it, leave the car at this setting until you can out drive your car. Tuners today are more about the brand name parts on the car then driving the car to 10/10ths.
Going straight it feels like it doesn't bounce around as much, but as for corners i don't really notice a difference. I'm sure with new upper control arms, new fron outer tie rods, and the tokico blues and springs as well as a alignment it'll be nice.......Can't wait
