short shifter and shift boot instalation

i just ordered a shift boot and a short shifter for my 98 integra. my question is how do i install the shift boot? do i have to take out the center consol for it or is there an easier way?

You have to take out the whole center console (not the dash & cd/deck) but just the plastic parts underneath the dash. Pretty easy with the use of a screw driver.

its not hard, no. but it is a pita. just try not to break anything. lol.

yea thats what im worried about. lol after i get all the plastic stuff off then ill be able to take the stock shifter out buy taking off a bolt at the bottom?
