90 accord wont start
I have a 90 accord f22a1 and i drove it some where shut it off and came back and it wouldnt start again. i bought a new cap and rotor and sparkplugs. i have spark and fuel it jus wont start. does anybody know what the problem is??
does it even stumble or pop when trying to start, or does it just crank as if all the plug wires have been disconnected?
unless you got a tennis ball stuffed in your intake, you probably got air.
obviously you have fuel if the plugs are getting wet. so are you positive you have spark?

Yeah you probably are just assuming you have spark. Do a spark test with a wire to a frame bolt to determine if you actually have spark because your ignition coil could be bad like mines was, and possibly even the distributor. Cap and rotor can be problems but more than likely it's the components inside of the distributor. THe ignitor and ignite pickups inside of distributor. Take your distributor to auto zone and ask them to test the ignitor, also to do a voltometer check on the ignition coil. If coil is not within spec which you can find in your haynes(you have Haynes right
???) Then it should be replaced of course. If it is within spec then you know you'll have to buy a new dizzy.
A funny word to wise. They usually fail as a couple.
If it turns out that it's not electrical, Clogged fuel filter, worse case clogged fuel lines, faulty fuel pump. Cross your fingers, GL PEACE

well now the damn thing just has fuel now. when i replaced the plugs it had spark. but then i jus wanted to check for spark again and there is none now. it has a mind of its own. i checked the coil and it is good. so wat could it be? it dont even sound like it wants to start.
i went and got the coil tested at autozone and they said it was good so i went and bought an igniter and it still just turns over, but im running code 15 (ignition output signal) anyone know what the problem is??????
i say your motors flooded out, happened on a sentra and a civic that i worked on. take out the plugs clean them up regapped them to specs. crank the motor over with dizzy disconnected. let the cylinder air out without the plugs in for about 15-30 mins. hook up dizzy and plugs, wires and crank back up, might have to play with the gas pedal to get to fire up. never had a problem after that.
