What do i need to do to use a obd2a harness in a obd2b civic. Im sure it has been done before but does anyone know exatly what i need to do.

 

you need the ecu and you need to figure out the dash wiring to plug that into the harness. its supposed to be a bit of a pain

 

you need to sell the 98 harness and with the money buy a 99-00 harness. Why would you wanna deal with that headache.

 

everyone makes a big deal out of it.. i changed mine from 96-98 to 99-00, not so hard.

but you pretty much need to change everything..

 

get a jumper harness ... lol its very simple

 

i did it this way cause the motor i put in it is a h22 and i am trying to get these car running asap and out of my garage. i just need to be able to move it. i dont want to get another harness and rewire it for the h22.

Gearhead16 what do you mean get a jumper harness is this just in therory or you know that it works. cause to me a jump harness would get rid of one of the plugs that the 96 harness has to make the car run. i am probably going to have to find my honda service manual and firgure out the wires my self to repin it. i just can seem to find it.

 

if your talking about the plugs at the ecu they make jumper harnesses that will have your plugs on one end and another set of plugs on the other
