has anyone ever dynoed their stock d16, like before they put i/h/e or a turbo on it? im just curious to see what the dyno numbers are compared to what its listed at (127 hp and 107 lbs/ft).
Yes, I have the dyno sheet scanned at home - I'll post it later. On my 93 D16Z6, I made 103.2 whp and 93.9 ft-lbs stock. After my CAI install, I made 107.6 and 95.9 (run on the same day, less than 1 hour apart). Note that we tested in February so temp was less than 50 degrees, and with the hood open the stock intake was getting more cold air than normal, so I'd say we were up a couple of ponies from "normal".

yea, ive seen your dyno in previos posts, but can never find the supersprint header for a sohc, or any honda for that matter. Anyone know how much they go for and where to get one? If not, I plan on gettin the greddy header. I was gonna get the landspeed which seems to work pretty good on a sohc, but landspeed raised the price from 359 to close to $400 now.
ya most make between 103-106whp on a stock SOHC Vtec- the most i have seen with bolt ons was my friends,no cam...he made 132whp on 96 civic Si (CDN model )
Mods if i remember were , GReddy header,GReddy power extreme,AEM CAI,AEM cam gear,Unorthodox Under drive pulley,Digital 6 ignition,wires 8.5mm,Fields VTEC/Fuel controller and us tuning it.

Intake = AEM
Header = Stillen
Exhaust = factory cat + 2.25" crush bent
Cam = 90 CRX Si, 1/2 tooth retarded
Intake Manifold = Z6 VTEC
Simple eh?
Oh yeah, about 150+ passes at the strip tuning each upgrade as I went.

What are the specs for/advantages to running the CRX cam?Steve
From what I read, headers are only supposed to add about .7 whp to your civic. I think I got that number from Sport Compact Car.
