This isn't to fit 20"+ wheels is it?

There was discussion here a few weeks back about raising a Civic. I think the consensus was that the only way to get substantial increased ride height would be some type of custom work.

i dont want a donk, i just want raised ground clearance so i can make it to certain places where i live. i really hate having to walk 1/4 mile everytime i visit my dad! also, the tire/rim combo i have right now doesnt lend itself to an offroad environment, and i cant fit knobbies in my wheel well at stock height.

PS, the CD5 accords are the '94-'97 year models

no offense intended with my past or future comments... but you should of bought a jeep or a truck if that's the case....I think raising cars past there stock ride height is actually a hazard in some way if my mind remembers correctly.

yeah, but high lift trucks/suv's are in high demand and are usually really abused around here, so it would end up costing a ton for something with ground clearance and AWD. something like an F/B adapter plate and tranny out of a CR-V and, say, a 4-6'' lift on my accord would cost thousands less than just buying something else. i've got resources and ability, i just wanna find OEM shocks that will work for my car. if none will fit, then what do i need to measure to find out if something will?

*EDIT* its also gonna be really, really cool!!

I don't think FWD lends itself to offroad environment, either.

Its also probably got less ground clearance than a stock Accord too...
