dont wax the car for 45-60 days the paint needs to cure. if you keep the fumes in you will ruin a paint job. Maguires is good stuff. also in the 45-60 days dont use a car wash soap that makes a car shine. use like dish soap for a little bit then you can move over to better stuff

that time limit really all depends if the car was baked or not, its technically cured after 45 minutes in the booth at 160 degrees.well the cromasystem line we use at our shop is. If it wasnt baked.than yes, dont use anything on it for a while. the solvents need to disolve and the clear needs to cure, clear is porous and cures from the inside out so if you fill the pores with wax, silicone, or soap residue it can impede the curing process by blocking the pores. of course theres many different opinions on how to care for paint, everyone has their own certain way.

I repeat do not wax it for 90 days. To make sure the paint is completly dry the whole way through. ( Paint Dries From The Inside Out ). And dont use dish soap (never) not good for the paint. Do not take it through a car wash either. DON'T BE LAZY AND HAND WASH IT. You just spent all that money to get it painted. Dont waste your money and f it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^^ palmolive dish soap works fine.......you dont want use a car wash that has a added shinning feature to the soap. silicone is BAD for a new paint job. but you could use a car wash soap that has no silicone or water sheeting properties.

haha, i dont either, but technically speaking they could be. for some reason that whole thing you learn about " dont wax it for 30 days' when coming into the industry sticks with ya, even though I know its bs. Ive seen people wash and wax their cars 2 days after being painted and baked, and 5 years later everything is perfect. I still cant bring myself to do it on any customer car or personal car, even though i know it would be ok. funny how that stick with us.

Yean any type of dish soap I would never recommend, and like someone said, do not go to the drive through car washes, or any car wash that involves a machine for that matter. The only place I would go to besides my driveway is the coin wash, but DO NOT use those brushes they provide, they will scratch the **** outta your paint! They say no bucket washing, but I still do anyways
