What do you think about these rims on my prelude?
ive come across a great deal on these rims, and ive always loved them. they will be going on my 1992 silverstone metallic prelude. they are 18s. im thinking of changing rims because the ones on the car have some road rash from the previous owner and on the polished lip there are marks almost where the clear is peeling. here are pics of my car how it currently looks, a pic of the rims, a quick photoshop with the wheels on the car and then a couple of cars with gold wheels on the same color paint. opinions bad and good are welcome. wheels are just so hard to pick and especially colored wheels.
I'm not sure if the rims are that light because of your quick photoshop or if they're actually that light... but if the final product looks more like the color combination on the S2K pic you posted, then i really like it.
they are actually called bronze gloss, but i think they look more gold. here are pics of the wheel from a few websites and some cars with the wheels on it.....
Are the first set of gold, Volk GT-N's? Good luck finding them in 4x114.. GT-N's are hard to find. If they're the RNR's or whatever, they're not made in 4x114..
And the second and third sets, the names have completely blanked from my mind.. But I know the one's on the S2K are expensive..

Save some money and keep the ones you have and maybe refinish them when you have some spare cash, at least its not like mine where it came with some blangin chrome rimz. =p
The rims you currently have look awesome.
Imo the gold rims wouldn't look as good, and
i definately wouldnt go 18's even if you do
get new ones. Goodluck with it. Hope you
get what you like in the end.

I tried a set of 18's that came with my car and it was a HUGE difference from the 15's on there now.
Do something about that bodykit if you want to make the car a little "yours" and not your friends. My suggestion .. take it completely off, go with factory body. Keep the wheels you have, refinish them in Silver. 17" is the biggest wheel for a 4th-Gen 'Lude that won't make it look ridiculous. ..and while you're at it, lower the car a little. That would make this car "yours."
Then he better use 215/30 or 205/35 tires (which suck to drive on).. or they'll likely be bigger than stock. And any wheel you find in 18" will be lighter in a smaller size.. obviously.
