confused on tranny codes
The thing that gets confusing is some different transmissions have the same code, but with different gear ratios and possible LSD options. I saw a chart before, from what I can remember this is correct, but someone please chime in if i'm wrong.
92-93 trannies are all YS1. There are 3 different ones but all called the same. 92-93 LS (b18a), usdm GSR (b17), jdm integra xsi (b16).
90-91 trannies: S1 is for both the 90-91 LS (b18a) and jdm integra xsi (b16). J1 is also an integra xsi tranny (b16). I believe A1 also came on some LS's.
Y1 came on crx/civic EF SiR B16.
LSD was never an option on any USDM b-series cable tranny. Most jdm B16 trannies had it as an option.
I'm not quite as sure with the hydraulic trannies. I'm pretty sure that S80 and Y80 are all gonna be LS/GSR/ITR. I don't know much about the b16 hydro trannies.
