cooling related question
A couple of days ago I picked up a new 600RR thats going to probably be mainly used for track duty.
However as I'm still spending alot of time familiarizing myself with the bike it's seen alot of time low speed driving which generally raises the coolant temps from 170 ish to 220 ish.
Since at some point in the near future I'll be doing a fluid change I thought about running deionized water and water wetter mix instead of glycol based coolant which obviously also required by many if not all tracks now anyway.
But as I read alot on the subject many people kept mentioning water wetter producing gunk that is related to it's silicone content which doesn't sound smart on a relatively small cooling system.
But there have been several of posts regarding using ac fluid in small amounts instead as a corrosion inhibitor. And I was wondering if anyone has tried this.

I've asked this question on several motorcycle boards with no answer other than "yo yo yo just gets sum water wetterer" or "dat engine ice is da bomb" - lol
Since the coolant issue concerns me more for summer track days especially here in so cal. I was hoping the RR forum could provide me with an intelligent answer

I own a 07 R1 the coolant temp on it is usually when moving 160-200 depending on air temp ( live in Mid Tennesse). Fans dont come on till 220 which it did alot when I use to commute with it to work and be stuck in traffic for more than 30-45 minutes. Anyways what I have done to mine to help temp stay down was completly drain the coolant system and flush it with clean water. Filled the system with RO Water can be bought at most supermarket, 1/2 cup of Honda coolant just enough to help with corrosion and my secret 2-4 drops of Joy dish detergent. Acts just like water wetter, helps the metal/radiator absorb more of the heat to help it disapate it better and not trap it in the water. Learned this from some of the old V8 i knew that raced back in the days. Do it to the track car also. Does it work I will have to say yes especially with the bilke temp stays more consistant on hotter days than it use to and did a track day last year (1st time) with no heating issue.
If not always a bigger radiator which are exstremly $$$

You considered just running a few drops of hand soap in the water instead of the water wetter? If it were me, I'd go water/soap when the bike is used regularly, and probably put in normal antifreeze/coolant in the off months.
