ahhahahah a coworker from the oil lube center asked that same question almost.. "why spend so much money on a h22 when you can bolt on the head to your stock f22" man...i wanted to beat him with a shammy no offense, this topic has popped up more than wanted on this forum. since no one searches anymore for further searches in general.

Not trying to start anything but from what I've been told and read it is possible. I never thought it was possible but there is a website called http://www.PFIspeed.com that says they can do the swap. This subject was briefly covered in another forum in AccordRacing.com if you want to see what was said. Here's the link: http://pub49.ezboard.com/faccordraci...opicID=4.topic

Or you can buy an H22 for $1100, and sell your old engine for $400.

Well I don't know how much a swap like costs. IMO I'd go with the H22.

When you say "an H22 for $1100" do you mean just the motor or the complete swap? If thats the price for a complete swap where did you find it at cause I haven't found one that cheep?

sounds like this (to save everyone the time):

1. weld up oil drain holes in the H22a head... and of course mill it down and refinish the surface. evidently its the outer three section of the head.

comment - I don't like the sound of closing up oil drain holes.

2. swap the lower timing belt gear and water pump to that of a H22a.

comment: sounds easy enough. I'm cool with that.

3. use f22 injector rail

comment: makes sense

4. use a P13 ecu...

comment: yeah ok... I don't know chit about ecu's (but I am working on the chart for you martaigne)

thread also mentions that the final comression ends up around 9.8:1

If you go to the home page, on the left are some buttons, click on the one that says products and scroll down to the last paragraph.

Thats longblock (motor only). The complete change over with all parts is about $2400 shipped.
