Default newborn coilover compomise?

I am in the process of replacing my 95 hatch with a 96-00 civic sedan to more easily transport myself, wife and newborn son (due in late August). Because I will still be craving a more sporty ride with weekend spirited driving aspirations, I am on the lookout for a suspension setup that will facilitate my needs without heavily disturbing my son, so something with adjustability is a must. I have been eyeing the Tein Super Street Dampers as a possible candidate.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

If i were expecting a newborn i would keep the stock **** for optimal smoothness and no need to worry about bumps and driveways.

But since you want a "sporty" feel, the only thing i can recommend is a set of tokico illuminas. Paired with your stock springs they will give you a smooth ride for when you are transporting your baby. Then since the illuminas adjust bound and rebound simultaneously, they will give you the "sporty" ride you desire. Thing is that you will be at stock ride height

I was in your shoes almost exactly one year ago. My son is turning one on the 9th of this month.

Good news...NEWBORNS LOVE HIGH SPRING RATES.

No, my friend, I'm not shitting you. I have the tried and true koni/gc setup with fairly high rates (430f 375r) and the kid never once woke up or started crying because of any issues with ride quality, even though I keep my DC fairly low. I worried about the same thing, but honestly if your pregnant misses can make it to August without killing you because she's uncomfortable, you'll be just fine! Oh, and congratulations bro. Having a child is freakin' cool as hell.

The answer: get another car, and keep it stock.

I sure am glad my wife already had a stock 96 Corolla 4-door when we got married in '07. It would suck having to deal with a baby seat and all that in my 2-door Integra. In fact some baby seats won't even work, as the rear seat belts are too short (yes I have tried).

I actually never thought of this, and it sounds like a great idea. I have a set of KYB AGX's that on my current car that I can transfer. Thank you.

Well, the main reason I am questioning this is because my wife cant stand my current setup (H&R sport springs/KYB AGX), mainly because we had one bad bump one night that I couldn't avoid and she had some abdominal pain afterwards. Since then she has been pleading me for something different in the next car. Thanks for the congrats, Im really excited!

We currently have a 98 Accord that will be the main family hauler, but this one is for me. I want the ability have a bit of fun, but also move my family around comfortably as well hence the hatch has to go.
