Aftermarket clutch. Worth it replacing factory lightened flywheel as well?
I am about to order a Spoon clutch kit and a JDM FD. I figured I wouldn't need to replace the stock flywheel because it is already factory lightened. I had a second thought on replacing the flywheel because it's a pain in the *** to do anything that has to do with transmissions.
I saw that the Spoon clutch weighs in at 4.2kg, while the factory weighs 6.9kg. I usually assumed that all aftermarket flywheels were ULTRA light, thus making it difficult to daily drive. I know the Spoon is not as light compared to the other flywheels. Hopefully, it won't be hard to daily drive. I could save my bottom end and torque as well. Should I go ahead and replace the flywheel? Or go ahead and spend the money on cam gears or a VAFC?

You won't have any trouble daily driving with a light flywheel. That whole myth has been blown way out of proportion.
I'd say do it. It was one of the best things I ever did on my car, and I actually wish I had gotten an even lighter one now.
