FS: 1992 Civic VX, lots of JDM goodies, needs a little work though
well I bought another EG so I don't really need or want this one. The car is located in San Francisco.
$1900 on steelies and stock suspension...$2400 on Koni's. price is OBO but don't lowball me. Bring your own suspension and/or wheels and saveee

1992 Civic VX
clean title
good:
+D15B w/D16Y8 intake manifold
+VX transmission
+Injen CARB legal intake
+Koyo radiator
+Skunk2 coilovers on Koni Yellows
+del Sol seats (no rips)
+brand new Spoom (knockoff) mirrors
+Spoon replica rear lower tie bar
+DC rear strut bar
+Spoon replica front strut bar
+real deal JDM foglights
+Si cluster
+eBay Type R shift ****
+CF hood
+brand new battery
+new timing belt
bad:
-needs an IACV (this makes it idle weird when it's cold--only when it's cold)
-needs an O2 sensor
-some dents (see pics)
-driver side window track is a bit messed up
-front bumper needs paint
-no windshield moldings
-small exhaust leak

The car has a clean Nevada title. I don't have it on me because I had to turn it in to the DMV to register the car. We will use the tried and true Transfer with Paperless Title.
I've been honest and that's everything I can think of about the car right now...don't come over and try to lowball me because it wasn't what you expected. Take a look at the info and the pics, what you see is what you get.

So on stock suspension, this is $2000 firm?! A car that doesn't come with smog, needs an o2/iacv, cracked taillights, body damage, no carpet and NO WHEELS!??!
Sorry I'm not trying to hate but that's a bit optimistic

Well...smog is $50, IACV is $150, O2 sensor is $40 online, taillights go for $20, carpet is always optional (none of my cars have carpet), and body damage is workable if you know the right people. Plus, if you're complaining about those things, then you aren't the person who should be buying this car. The next owner of this car will be able to confidently and quickly solve these problems. I can, I just don't want to. If you're balking at the size and scope of this car's issues, then it's not for you
Go look on Craigslist, for $2000 you are going to find a lot of stock cars with salvage titles, like this. If you want to save money, buy this car. My car is swapped, has an excellent suspension, and has a bunch of toys that the new owner can either keep or just sell to make money back. I'd say my car BONE STOCK with zero mods is optimistic at $2k--and look how much other stuff it has.
Also, the price is not that firm, I just don't want to be offered like 1500 bucks.

I've been through quite a few cars from 11 sec hatches to s2000s. I'm no expert but I'm no rookie either. You are right, on the surface, the issues are not major. My argument is why doesn't a seller take care of those issues when it's so easy? It makes the car so much more appealing. Your car is swapped? It's a d-motor LOL w/ a different ecu haha. Excellent suspension in Skunk2? I'll give you the Konis but I'm sorry they r not that special and mainly replica "JDM" toys. And the buyer has to bring their own wheels/tires?
I think you are missing the point. No well actually you may see what I'm getting at because now you are stating the price "is not that firm".

You can lol all you want, but a D15B is still indeed a swap. It has 40 more HP than the stock engine and it's much newer than the car (not to mention from Japan) which means that it most likely has much less wear than the original engine would. Sure, it's not a DOHC VTEC swap that costs more than the car itself is worth, but...so what?
Ok Skunk2 aren't the best springs, but they are pretty decent. And I firmly believe (pun intended) that the Koni Yellows are indeed excellent shocks for the price. It all depends on context I guess...this setup certainly isn't excellent in comparison with a Zeal coilover setup for example, but for a $500 suspension, it's pretty sweet. For daily driving, how much nicer of a suspension do you need?
Some people say JDM is all hype...I can probably agree with that. Not everyone cares about all the little stuff that's on the car, and I can tell you honestly that I did not install a single part on this car besides the wheels, which means that I don't exactly care for all the stuff that's on it. Could I make more money if I parted it all out and returned to stock? Probably. My intent with throwing all that stuff in the deal is like I said: I want to sell it as fast as possible. I'm hoping that whoever buys this has a bunch of EG parts in their garage so they can put on the parts they like, and sell the stuff they don't.
And yeah, the buyer has to bring their own wheels, since I only have one set of steelies and I'm selling two cars right now. The steelies are actually on this car right now, but I have a feeling that I'm gonna sell my EF first and I told the prospective buyer they could have those steelies. I've been searching on Craigslist since I posted this ad, steelies are super cheap at like $50 a set, so if someone doesn't come pick the car up with their own wheels, in the next few days I should have a set of steelies for it to roll on.

The car now has a carpet, the cracked taillight has been replaced, and I will check out the iacv issue and window track later. Someone pick this thing up. It's a good little project. Clean it up or drive it as is, cruise and get 45mpg.

bump with a stock suspension price since no one wants it on the Koni's.
Come over and look at it today, we'll be out there working on it...

I don't have the title, I turned it in when I registered the car. It was a clean Nevada title. I don't have a title and I can't get one because the car needs to be smogged. However, we can do transfer of title with paperless transfer (see the first post for a link) and we don't need a title. I actually went to the DMV today and I registered a car using only that paper--no title and no bill of sale. So there are no paperwork issues
Im interested in your car but with no title and its out of state? Do you still need to do a brake light inspec? Smog i can handle. Are you flexable on the price? If its still for sale PM me. Im located in San Leandro, Ca. Thanks for your time..
As far as I can tell it's reliable. It was driven out here from Nevada so if it can do that, I think it'll go anywhere. It starts right up with no problems. We fixed the gremlins so it runs ok but it idles poorly when cold (IACV) and needs an O2 sensor. It's totally driveable though.
