crx weight reduction questions
how light can these cars get? there is a really cheap shell in my area for a few hundred and thought it would be fun to try to make a car with a decent power:weight ratio. I was thinking of taking all interior stuff out, sound deadening, heat, gutting the doors and just leaving the glass and outer skin, etc. pretty much just glass, 2 front seats, and a dash

That's the first thing that goes...
Take the struts off your hatch and tell me that glass isn't heavy...
Yup, CRX's backend is mostly comprised of heavy *** glass, that's usually the first thing you replace with lexan when you want to reduce weight, interior isn't going to drop much weight.
