rim question
Ok so I'm getting a 99 civic ex coupe, just wondering if I got some rims that were bigger than the current ones if I would have to do anything...like mess with something to adjust to the new rims.
thanks
thanks
Was looking at 17's but that probably is to big in proportion to the small car, XD.
but would I need to mess with anything or would it just be a swap and done?
if you go with 16" rims you shouldn't have to do anything to make them fit.
unless the width and offset are really different than stock.
most 16" rims for hondas are 7 inches wide and usually the offset is somewhere between +45 and +35. go with any of these and you will be fine.
now the tire size will be like 215 45R 16 or something like that.
because your tire and rim combo should be the same diameter as the stock ones so your speedometer won't read wrong.
if you have tires too big, your car will be going faster than what it says on the speedo and too small of tires, which is kind of hard to do, would make you go slower than what your speedo is reading.
idk if you knew any of this or not, but just trying to help out.
