Default Royal Purple oil change

hey guys, I've got a strange issue here... I just did an oil change today on my 07 Si. I used a K&N filter and i threw in 4.6 quarts of royal purple as called for.. I was wondering why my oil level is still lower on the dipstick than it should be and why the oil on the dipstick isn't purple.....like it was when i dumped it in. It's more of a goldy color like normal oil. I took it for a rip and it runs fine, no leaks, the drive way is clean... looks good, but i just thought that was strange. I've used purple in previous vehicles and it was purple so i dunno. thanks.

lol... ya i know, i was going to for sure, just that the manual calls for 4.6 quarts with filter.
I let the car sit on the ramps for about an hour and a half before the change so warm, but not hot i guess.

$50 oil change?

It isn't purple because oil contains detergents that collect and suspend sediments making it appear dark.
