product recommendations
previously ive used products based on what autozone had or places like that. and wanted to move up to a more professional product. i was lurking through the detailing area and saw a website called autogeek. so i checked it out. saw a lot of nice detailing kits available. and i was wondering what products yall would recommend from previous experiences? thanks in advance.
menzerna polishes and ccs pads is all i will ever use with my da. as for interior/trim/tire dressing poorboys world is water based and dries to the touch and is very cheap. finish kare 425 for a quick detailer which as antistatic agents in it so does not attract dust, stoners invisible glass for windows which can be bought at walmart.
car wash, duragloss 902 or megs gold class which both can be found at a local store.
mf towels, i will never use anything other than pakshak towels.
as for wax, basically anything that you buy that is not at the store will be good, haha.

lol.
and im kinda steering away from buffers or whatever there called. and gonna stay with doing it by hand. i know my best results arent gonna be by hand im assuming but ive got original paint on my 98 coupe. its not in bad condition. but i dont want to chance anything. reason being i dont have enough for a good paint job.
and whats your take on pinnacle. heard good things? or any company for that matter. and im kinda looking more towards everything being together when i purchase it because ive pretty much got no idea what everythings used for. for example, you said ccs pads. i havent a clue what those are.
yea i know. im still hella newbish to this.

poorboys if your just starting, its easy to use and cheap. plus it smells great lol. with a DA and a white pad your going to have no chance of doing anything but good to your paint
if your going to stick to hand application this is about the only thing worth using from what ive heard.
pinnacle waxes are at the top as well...in the price category as well.
ccs pads are pads used for a da/rotary so no worries there if your not going to use one.

oh i thought you mentioned that you were doing everything by hand. for da (dual action), use the ccs pads.

i wouldne use anything bigger than 5.5" on a da.

yeah if your going to do it with a da like the porter cable or flex, i could pm you a method, but by hand i have no idea...but would assume you just try to duplicate the movement of a da.
and yes different polishes have a bit different method that they like.

I'm a big fan of Zaino.
http://www.zainostore.com/
It's the best I ever used.
I don't use it anymore because I don't have the time, and it's a bit expensive.
The most important thing I can not stress enough for Zaino is: Following the instruction is a must. Go thin. Layer.

zaino is nice, but like redboost said, ccs and menzerna. Its the only thing I use with my 7424. Whatever you do, dont use armor all products on the interior.
im leanin more towards pinnacle. if im gonna serious with my car care. might as well buy what i want. and any reason to not use amor all? what's best to use otherwise?
when you say pinnacle are you talking about the polishes or wax?
as for the armor all thing, do not use anything silicone based. for interior/trim/tires get poorboys world trim restorer, you can make it look matte or make it look glossy and it dries to the touch so no greasy crap that attracts dust.

alright yeah thats cool, but you still need polishes. thats what greddycivic and i were referring to...menzerna polishes kick ***. but as for wax, yeah pinnacle souveran is about the best you can get for under 3k, haha.
hell yea. ha
so that expensive bitch doesnt even have polish? im ****ed. **** bein a broke college student.
whats the menzerna polishes you would recommend?

haha, no there is no polish in that big kit.
menzerna super intensive polish po83 followed by menzerna nano po106fa, these are the probably the most user friendly polishes for a da, they practically do not dust and have incredible results.
and between steps do not forget to do a 50/50 alcohol wipe down to inspect the paint a bit better
