Default CRX ED9 1991 Air Intake Manifold?

Hey guys,
i have an extra intake manifold layin around that i polished and i'm thinkin bout sandblasting each pipehole if you can call it like that, there 4 , with real fine sandblaster and hope to get a smother intake .

Do you have any idea of what i could do with a manifold to get better performance,it's easy lookin for a new one, but i heard lot's of people talking about they redone and tuned their intake.

Any tips from you Honda-Gurus?

Alot of people gasket match their intake manifolds or just take a small dremmel or air tool with a cone shaped grinding bit on it and just remove some of the rough edges and open it up if the gasket is a bit bigger than the manifold itself.

Thats a good idea with the dremel i never thought about that i wanna gain more power and better flow to the engine and stuff before i go into SERIOUS tuning parts like turbo etc

Which motor is it in particular? Honestly there are alot of people that are running big power numbers on non ported n polished head. Yes it helps flow but the stock honda head flows very well.

Right now i'm runninga D16Z5, with Cold air intake, shaved head, Anza sport exhaust, advanced timing set-up, DC-headers, and there still some other stuff i'm gonna put on it.

I just wanna make best outta the parts on it like the intake manifold for example gets you enough flow and little gain in hp with tuning it.

Any other tips what to do to get more power, or torque, hp, whatsoever? I'd be grateful for further help

port the t/b and intake at the same time. port the head, get header wrap like i have, dual your fans out to make them both cooling fans, get better valvetrain, face your spark plug tips towards the intake chambers for a more dead on spark, upgrade your coil, wires, get a samco or equivalent cooling hose kit, oil cooler kit, steel braided fuel line with inline filter, run higher octane gas, eliminate some of your emissions,

just think of the simple chit and then go on the net and research it and see if there are any diy's

Hey can you port and polish a head yourself on these crx's ?If yes what would be a good way to do it?

I wrapped the header couple weeks ago, and the exhaust fumes flow alot better, it got smoother, and theres less heat in the engine bay.

With better valve train you mean new valves and titaninum valvespring right? Where can i get this for a reasonable price (I'm in highschool) ,cause i can't find the shiaat for the
D16 DOHC motor d16z5(d16a9).
