HAHA yea ill figure it out but yea the inside of the whip is clean got a fat exhast side ways out back and runs good, but having a bad o2 sensor is hertin, i now that its a d15z1=1.5 SOHC V-Tec but tried looking up the vin on the motor but cant figure out the year??

 

look at the stamp on the motor, just above the exhaust manifold, look for a round stamp.

 

this is an hx motor right?

The only valve cover that have VTEC-E in the U.S are the 92-95 civic VX. Don't expect for horse power or looking to mod the engine. It basically a waste of time for performance. These motor are design to save gas.

Now about the o2 sensor. It depends if you have 4 or 5 wires.

4 wire o2 are California emission.
5 wire 02 are 49 state or sometimes call Federal emission.

its a VX motor and i bought the car for a dailly driver and keep miles off my focus, i dont want to try to make it fast or anything but its not mad good on gas and it not to bad.

 

the vx motor should be getting you around 30mpg... my little 95 vx gets right around 30, but it also has 390k miles on it... keep up on maintenance and that motor will last you forever...

 

over all thought the car runs good and bought it cause it needed some miner stuff. I got new fuel fillter and spark plugs: but have another question does any one have this motor and does you tranny wine?? It goes though all the gears fine but they seme really long ?? i am up for any imput or any ideas?? haha does 40 in first gear and 70 hitting rev limiter haha not sure of the gearing is but my Focus ST gears are shorter and like 45-50 at the end of 2nd.

 

The VX is capable of 65 mpg highway if done correctly. You must have serious issues if you aren't getting good mileage. By the way the D15Z1 was only found in the VX models from '92 - '95. Good luck with your VX...BTW I have a VX O2 sensor for sale...but they are not cheap. Just call the honda dealer and price one.

Also, the gears are the same between the CX and VX models, and yes they are EXTREMELY LONG!

 

yea i will i get like 30 but when i bought the car i was getting 37 around town in P A crusing around but i am thinking the 02 sensor has somthing to do with it?? I have pics of the car and motor somewere in my profile haha new to this site got to use to it.

 

yea like going like 25 in town i almost have to be in 2nd cause 3rd seams like its really boging but its nice though its alot better on gas then my focus 24 but is a lot smaller of a motot 1.5 in the honda and a 2.3 in the focus and its DOHC its not really fast but had some good races with GSR's and other hondas, and gtis and vr6s but i would never buy a voltswagon haha

 

Yikes! Either you really suck at driving and safe gas. Or your VX needs a complete tune up.

Mine is the CA version. I get 43mpg in the city and 55 on highway. Federal suppose to get about 3mpg better in both city and highway.

 

Gearing on these model are very long. 1st gear goes to about 40, 2nd about 75-80, third probably 110, 4th..... the car doesn't enough power to find out. But it should be listed in the owners manual.

Transmission and engine are not suppose to wine. It's possible that your transmission main shalf bearing is going.
