15x8 will be fine, and you might have some clearance issues with the rear trailing arm on a 9" +36 wheel.

That should work, but I don't see the point of it if the tire sizes are the same front and rear. If you still wanted to do it, you might also need a small spacer in the front, as I know the tires on my 15x8 +36 rubs on the framerail at some higher degree of steering input.

I ran the 225/50-15 Kumho V710 on 15x8.5 Kodiaks on my 89 Civic Hatch. The wheels were 6" backspace, which would put offset somewhere around 32mm. I had to really pound the crap out of the fenders to get them to clear, but they never rubbed after the thorough massaging from my 2lb sledge.

Nice! Did you notcie any difference running such wide rims and tyres? Any back to back testing?

Wide wheels hey Benson? Once you get the 6ULs post up whether they fit without spacers, I have a friend that is thinking about a similar setup. I am thinking of trying a 255/40 on a 17x10 on the front of my car next time I get tyres to see how it goes.

^^^

Just optmising the tyre we are currently using. Highly doubt it'll fit without spacers of some sort. It'll definately foul the inner chasiss rails. We've been running cheapo 8mm spacer for the last 15 trackdays. We'll soon get some alluminum hub centric spacers made up. We'll post pics soon enough once we get them.

Does it really matter that they rub on the chassis? I can only turn about half the way to full lock before my tyres grind on all sorts of stuff, but they don't seem to rub on track.

Decided we'll keep 15x7 for now. Keep it on even level plains with our competitors.
