As far as the motor goes, you will have 2 plugs left over, VTEC solenoid and Oil Pressure switch. For the obd1 non vtec depending on if you want to stay obd0 or go obd1.

If you want to stay obd0, just use an obd-0 distributor and ecu and be done or if you want to go obd-1, obd1 distributor, conversion harness, distributor conversion harness, and obd-1 ECU.

On the outer covers i used Mean Green from like the dollar store, made it clean up real nice.

As for precautions make sure there is no excessive shaft play, up and down and side to side. If there is an excessive mount the turbo will end up hitting the compressor cover and possibly seize from hitting the alum housing. At that point you can have it rebuilt if it's a garrett or another name brand and not the ebay kind either.
