What is this plug??? **PICS**
It looks like I'm going to have to replace the high pressure power steering line. It looks pretty simple but I don't know what's that plug Tee'd into the line near the rack is for. Anyone help?
Also how hard is it to remove & install the high pressure steering line?

Power steering pressure switch

I dont know what its for, but I would assume its to make sure the pump is working properly and outputting adequate fluid pressure, i dont know what it does if the pump isnt working right though. Ill leave that answer to someone else lol

Well from the looks of the pics, and basic common sense I would drain all the P/S fluide, disconnect the line from the P/S pump, unplug the sensor and unscrew the sensor fitting piece from the line, then disconnect the line from the rack itself, and replace the line and put the sensor back on the new line and plug it back in. The T you're referring too is probably the sensor itself, probably similar to a oil pressure sending unit on the back of a engine block.
Actually I was thinking your car was a DA, but this really doesnt matter since your not buying a new sensor anyway, but its actually # 19 in this picture

And cheaper than the one listed for DA's. I'd buy a new o-ring for that sensor when you replace the line as well since its possible it could leak if you reuse it and its $0.95 for some cheap insurance
