Here is a cool Tire Diameter Calculator that might help you out.

http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...EzZGZkMzF5NTQx

It is an Excel file.

It really depends on wheel offset and tire choice,

But if you want to be 100% safe go with the 205/45/16 tires.

I'd venture to guess one of the only 215/45/16 tires to have rubbing issues would be Falken Azenis, but again this all depends on wheel offset.

Yes, the 205/45/16's will provide the least percentage of error from stock.

This will help http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

The tire size calculator on the bottom of the page will allow you to see how much of a percentage error your new tire size is from stock. The lower the percentage of error, the better.

Just as a reference point, 205/45-16 is 0.8% off from stock, which is not bad at all.

let me add those tire cacluators arent as accurate as they should be. the circumferance from different manufactures will differ even with the same tire size. although very simlar. take it into consideration when buying different size tires from different brand.
