Default Radio trouble, help please.

My radio in my 2000 S2k just simply stopped working today. I get nothing on the screen at all, only the red anti-theft light flashes. I have tried the radio code, and checked the fuses. Right now I have the battery unhooked hoping to reset it, if not Honda said its most likely radio failure. Here is my question. Has anyone else experienced this? if so please share you insight, second; if I replace my radio, will an aftermarket one worth with the dashboard controls? I can get one cheaper from best-buy then Honda, but I prefeere OEM and I want my dash board controls. Thank in advance.

Nope, drove the car to the beach, when I left it started up just fine and the radio wouldnt work. Honda wants $1070 for a head unit too.

I will check the head unit, here is a question; what are the odds of an aftermarket one working with the dashboard controls?

Very slim, unless you buy a harness that fits the aftermarket stereo. Here is the site where you get the harnesses, and there should be a list of compatible headunits on there somewhere

look on s2ki.com classify, you can get an oem one for less than $100.
that's crazy, $1000 for a head unit that doesn't even play MP3.

I had a alpine with modifry installed when my unit did not turn on. After checking everything twice, I took out the dci and out it back to stock, my oem unit worked perfect previously and now just the red dot blinks. Whatever is causing this is not the units.......

Bust out a volt meter and check for constant power and acc power. My $$ is still on the fuse.

Some reason my voltmeter kept reading 0, no matter the setting. I gave up when it got dark. I checked every fuse, and replaced them

There is no fuse in the stock head unit, but on my alpine i replaced it also.

If you put in an aftermarket radio, get one that has a remote control. There is a device built you can find at http://www.pac-audio.com/swixprogram...rogramming.asp

It allows you to use the buttons on the left of the steering wheel. I use it with an Eclipse head unit and it works fine.

I have an acura 2003 TL and the radio stopped working one day. The radio will eject CD's but not power on. There is no CODE display. I check the fuse in the passager side door and was fine...I even swapped it with another one and still nothing. Where did you find this acc fuse?

Stingraybeverly, you might wanna try the TL forums. The fuse is probably located somewhere on the driver side kick area.
