Default a1000 fuel pressure

a1000 and fuel pressure PROBLEM

Pump: A1000
regulator: AEM(the big one, not the little rail mounted one)

Problem: All of the sudden my AF is reading in the 13's and im not making **** for power at the track and it cuts off lean protection at the top of 4th. I was running consistent 11.5 11.8 through the whole pass now its consistent 13.6ish and this literally happened overnight, friday night i ran a 10.5 and went home, and went to a race and it was doing this.

We swapped out the pump with a spare, don't know for sure if it was truly good but it resulted with the same outcome even with that pump. Im rebuilding my current a1000 through aeromotive as we speak anyways.

I also noticed that i couldnt turn down the pressure from 45 psi...it was just stuck there, i unscrewed the adjuster and it just stayed there and then i screw it in a BUNCH and the pressure didn't budge over 45.

Fuel pressure also drops about 5 pounds right when i rev it up.

When we shut the car the pressure falls from 45 to 0 in a matter of about 2 seconds, that is all that i have noticed so far, gonna dig deeper into stuff tomorrow night.

so does it only go lean under a load in higher gears or is it the same thing all the way through. you car looked like it was ok until 3rd and 4th gear the other day.

i would check to see if your losing vacuum at the diaphram on the fuel pressure regulator, that could be a huge problem if it's boost dependant. if you have a vacuum pump hook to the regulator and pull some vacume on it if it loses it pretty quickly i would say you have a problem there and would swap the regulator it should take a few minutes atleast to bleed off the vacuum from the pump

it's also possible that the spring collapsed in there causing a problem

i agree ^
id pop the lid off of it and see if the diaphram is ripped.

it was consistently lean all through the gears, 3rd and 4th were considerably worse then the first 2. I just went and played with it, the regulator wont let the pressure go less than 45 psi and i can crank it up to 100 psi if i want but i guess if the diaphram is ripped it would still do that? I never thought to pop the top off and look at the diaphram. I will do it tomorrow.

3rd and 4th is when it is the hungriest. (man am i glad i set the s300 up to log fuel pressure)

if you arent getting the 1:1 rise your diaphram may be ripped.

i have the 13101 on my car they are the same besides the inlet and outlet size of the regulator, i'm sure your fuel line is -10an so you won't need a adapter to drop the size like i did, mine was -6an so i would go with that one if it's the problem

its my pump. it pushes out 10 psi less than the pump we replaced it with. Im going to get it rebuilt and adjust the tune after that.
