Default advanced ignition timing, 1 week later dead!!!

I did it and the car was runnin better than ever. I changed the gas to 93 octane. I noticed it was idling funny and was shaking when ever I stopped.Didn't think anything about it. so today my wife takes the car and it just stalled and the wheel just locked. the car is a 97 accord 90,000 miles on it. I got it started by playing with the ignition timing but when I go to tighten it dies and a couple of times I even had a chance to put it in drive and move for like a yard. And same **** happens. Had to get it towed and get my f*ckin kit all scraped up. Any suggetions what the problem might be cuzz I don't want to hear some bullshit from the mechanic and get a huge bill. Thanks any replies would be appreciate!!!

why did you adavance it?

check/change out your plugs,wires,cap,rotor
flush some reg gas threw it and see what happens

high octane doesnt help you out with a stock power car.

it's a good measure if you advance your timing.

come to find out the car was recalled for a ignition problem. It would go on and off by itself which causes the car to lockup and die. They said all models from 97 to 99 are under recall and they will get back to you. forget that and call them and find out cuzz my CR-V is also recalled. My wife had my Kids in the car goin over a railroad track when this happened. They could have been on the highway and crashed!! I'm waiting for a lawyer to get back to me so that I can see if I can get compensated or something. I'm urging you guys to give them a call and give them your vin# and find out cuzz this is really dangerous!!

Explain to me how you advanced the timing, I was under the impression that ODB II equipped Accords, you could not advance the timing via the distributor ...

correct, but not at idle through the low end of your band. Advancing your ignition timing gives you more power down low.
