Default Asking too much for my car? What's reasonable?

I'm trying to sell my car but I'm uncertain if I am being unreasonable with the price.

It's an 05 in Sebring Silver, 34k. Honda CPO warranty. Bone stock. Original paint, no accidents. Garage kept, non-smoker, etc. Up to date on all maintenance, brand new tires. Also has dedicated snow wheels & tires. The car is mint and drives well.

I'm trying to get $20k for it. Am I crazy, or should I just be patient?

Was offered $16.5k on trade which I think is pretty good. Maybe I should just say "f it" on selling privately and trade?

I paid 17.5 for my 04 NFR , one owner, garaged all winters, w/ 31k miles , <6000 miles on tires and a stack of records

*edit* And the Honda extended warranty

Your asking price is a bit high, esp for Sebring Silver.

I live in Chicago and just bought my silver 2005 S2k with 32k miles for $17,200 from a dealership. Now that was back in Feb so prices were a little cheaper. Hopefully that was helpful.

KBB is junk, worthless, hardly up to date.

The most accurate prices on any car is through N.A.D.A. (National Automotive Dealers Association).

17k sounds about right and a realistic amount private buyers will consider.

20k is right for certified used

as a private seller, people want a deal.

I'd say 17-18k

A lot of things to consider: season, region, economy, etc. You might get a bit more at the start of the summer and/or if your car is a CA/AZ car. But I think the economy trumps all of that. If you're selling now, it's probably gonna be 16-18k.

KBB for your car is $18850 for Excellent condition and $17800 for Good condition.
Edmunds True Market Value is $17239. These are both for Private seller and I am using my zip code here in San Diego California which is pretty high already.

Search your local autotrader and see what they are selling them for and compare. I am sure you are asking what dealers would be asking nearly.
