So im a noob when it comes to paint and bodywork but i have some real light scratches on the hood of my car they look like they are just in the clear coat. I have tried to buff them off before but they are still there. is there anything i can do to get rid of them i have also tried to use scratch doctor by nu finish.
if you look at it in certain angles you can notice it and it really bothers me cause i no its there. most people dont even notice but i do. so im at the point where i was goin to take the hood off and paint it black but i dont want to if i dont have to.

also i have spider cracks in my paint on the rear bumper painting it is the only way to fix it right? how much would a body shop charge to paint this?

what kinda buffing compound did you use? use a extra cut compound with a wool pad then blue pad then a white pad. thats what i use
