hey guys, i was at work yesterday, and someone pointed out that my tire was flat, so i went down to a gas station and filled up my tire with some air to make sure i could get home, so, i get home, no parking spots(moms car in the garage) so i have to go park in the street, everything in the car is fine, listening to my new cd player i just installed. So this morning, i tell my mother about the tire, its low again, so she tells me to park inside the garage and when i get home, ill put on my spare and get my tire repaired, so its all good, listen to music, put my car in the garage

now i get home today, im about to start jacking up my car when i decide to listen to some music, so i try and turn on my car...hmm... thats funny, it wont start, so i try again, and it does turn on, very weak idle drops low, and dies, cd player wont turn on when the car is in standby, but everything else does, so i keep trying the car, sometimes it turns on fine, cd player still wont work, and sometimes the car wont turn on at all, it tries, but doesnt, sometimes the car will turn on and the idle drops all the way down to 0 and shuts off, does anybody have a clue as to what may be happening? I called AAA to give me a jumpstart, and since he was there he opted to help me with the tire, i showed him the batter afterwards, and he just cleaned it off, and made sure the connections were o.k. and said it was just dirt, so i turn on the car, and it works(cd player still doesnt)(naturally, when the guy can help is here, it turns on fine) so he leaves, i shut off, and i try once more, when i see him pulling a left on my street corner, the car doesnt turn on again!, and so i am here now, requesting some help....

i think maybe its the cd player, maybe its putting a drain on the battery or something, but i was pretty shure the connections were fine, no touching of the wires, everythign taped... and it worked perfectly fine this morning, hell, i was just chillin in my car for a few mintures after i parked finishing a song, so i really dont think its that, maybe i just left a door open? and the battery drained just enough to not let my cd player turn on and have the car not turn on?

help me, please~

Well that sucks. Who installed the CD Player and did they use a factory harness ?
If not... it may be a short... exposed wire touching a ground.. 2 wires not meant to be touching.. etc. etc.

If your car was on.. then the alternator would take over.. so the car would drive fine.

 

How did you wire the turn on for the radio, will it turn on while the key in the off position? It needs to be wired into the acc. lead not the +

 

well its wired with a adapter harness, a aftermarket wring harness that just plugs straight into the stock harness, so, im not sure what you mean about the ac...

okay, i got my tired, fixed, i pulled out the cd player, one of the wires was lose, i dont know how it just stopped working even though it was fine, but of course, something always happens..., the car is idling better now, but i have to give it a little gas when i turn it on.... and ever once in a while it doesnt seem to wanna start, does anyone have a clue as to what might be causing this, it shakes hella crazy when its below 1000 rpms, but once its over, its all good, so i wonder, i just filled the tank, maybe bad gas?
