Default B16A2 Block / B18C4 Head to B18C6 Head

Car Spec:

B16A2 Block / B18C4 Head / B18C4 Cams
GReddy 4-2-1 Exhaust Manifold
HKS Silentpower
AEM V2
Skunk2 Intake Manifold

Swapped the B18C4 Head/Cams to a B18C6 Head/Cams and the Skunk2 Intake Manifold to a B18C Intake Manifold.

Im guessing the answer is that the car is gunna need to be remapped, but thought Id ask anyway.

Seems to be sluggish around the 4k rpm mark, vtec kick in but dosent seem to be as powerful as before, however when you hit the 7k rpm + mark, seems to produce a bit more, possibly due to the cams producing more top end power?

Also the VTEC solenoid on the C6 Head, did not have a hole for one of the sensors, compared to the C4 one, had a quick look online and appearntly its done differently on the C6's, however Ive put the old vtec solenoid on for the moment so the sensor is connected, any problems with that?

Cheers, sam.

Is the B18C6 the ITR motor in your country?

So you have currently
B16 block
ITR head
ITR Cams
What ECU are you running
What year car?
You may be able to get away with just running a CTR ECU for simplicity it would be your closest OEM match

The solenoid will be fine, some of the JDM motors are missing the oil pressure sensor on the vtec solenoid and you will most likely need the additional sensor to operate vtec on your ecu.

Hope this helps, but maybe next time try to provide a little more detail and you may get a proper answer quicker.

Sorry, the B18C6 is the ITR version, still running the P30 ecu at the moment, presume it would be more beneficial to run the P72 ITR ecu or a CTRecu as you suggested? Car is a 1992 VTI EG. Thanks

The best options is always a cutom tuned ecu, not knowing your situation or location there are a few guys on the board
That may be able to give you something close. Since your car is obd-1 it may be more hastle than it is worth trying to run a ctr ecu.
