93 Si motor in 89 civic HB STD
Wanting to do an Si engine swap?
will this motor fit also just like the 88-91 Civic/CRX Si motors?
will it just swap with same mounts and everything?
and what all Si motors will fit in my 89 Honda Civic HB STD with same mounts and ****?

you need to use the bracket that attaches to the drivers side mount off the std engine that bolts to the block in the middle if the timing belt. you will need to grind a little material off one side so the timing belt does not hit it. all d16z6 and d16y8 will mount the same but the y8 is preferable due to not having to chop the distro to get it to fit. you will need to do a mpfi swap and find a way to activate vtec. you can either go obd1 with a p28 computer or use a pm6 with a vafc. using a rpm switch and relay is not reccomended.

I'll just add that the '93 transmission will not work. since your std comes with a 4-spd, you'll probably want to locate an 88-91 Si trans. the easy way to tell if a motor is going to "bolt up" is to look at the engine code. Any engine that has a code that starts with the letter "D" will drop right in. 93 civic Si came with a D16Z6.
