congrats on the header and congrats on the new IM. If you are putting on that mani i would get a hondata gasket and put it on there.

^ i was gonna do that, but later on maybe. i would rather just bypass my tb than waste 50 bucks on a gasket.

you don't need to replace anything. Everything that fits the RBC fits on the RRC.

I have RRC throttle body adapters that allow IACV function for older K series motors.

Can you explain? I don't understand how bypassing the TB is a substitute for buying the Hondata gasket. I guess what I don't know is what bypassing would do that would make it not as worth while as getting the gasket.

I had the gasket installed with the turbo, seems like a good combo. The intake man. has direct contact with the head that gets pretty hot. When I let my car idle and it's say 50 degrees outside and the engine bay is really hot after a few minutes I put my hand on the intake man. and it's surprisingly cool. Granted there is the intercooler just before it but still I think it helps

The TB has coolant running thru it for idle quality for cold climate conditions. This HOT coolant raises the air intake temperatures. The P2R TB gasket prevents heat transfer from the TB to the manifold. By doing the TB coolant bypass trick you can eliminate the need for one of the gaskets.

I am a P2R dealer and can get you a package deal.

i think hes talking about the hondata img. not a p2r tbs/gasket whatever....
you still need a img regardless of the coolant bypass mod.

The stock metal one can be reused although I don't know why you'd want to. I can do $55 shipped on a TB and manifold gasket.

if you are replacing the intake mani you might as well buy the hondata intake mani gasket from hondata while you taking the IM off. That what my point.

i wont spend 50 bucks on a gasket with negligible power increase. sorry.
just not my cup of tea. i do understand your point and everything, but i would rather save the 50 bucks and get myself another pair of vans or circa lopez's.

Hey I-VTEC DOHC I know what you are saying but I think it's a good buy. It actually has some science behind it. The material doesn't transfer heat and the intake manifold just turns into a big heat sink for the engine. I like it.....I like it alaught.
